A New Satellite Image Of Dubai Has Been Released From Space For A Very Special Reason
Only the UAE would celebrate hosting the AFC Asian Cup 2019 with an image from space.
The Asian AFC cup is currently taking place in the UAE (the UAE team made it past the group stages after a 1-1 draw to Thailand last night…wooh!) and in conjunction with the event The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre has released an image of the Al Maktoum (Al Nasr) stadium from space.
Khalifa Sat, the first ever UAE built satellite that launched successfully last year, released an image of the Dubai sports club. The satellites primary purpose is capturing high-res imagery of earth.
