The long weekend has JUST been announced and everyone is already planning away a mini-vacation.

And looks like, most people are planning a trip outside the UAE.

According to data collected by Khaleej Times, bookings are increasing (and seat availabilities are reducing) by a lot suddenly.

This is why airfares have suddenly skyrockets by as high as 70 percent

The highest surges were on flights to India, Egypt and Lebanon (all nationalities make up a major amount of the expat population here) so it seems like a lot of people plan to fly home for a bit.
