It’s Official: Dubai Is One Of The MOST Expensive Places To Celebrate NYE In The WORLD
We all know Dubai ain’t cheap on New Year’s – thanks to its spectacular fireworks shows, the incredible views of world-record breaking light shows and all the hooplah that comes with it, but now it’s officially one of THE MOST expensive places in the world to celebrate.
A study by cheaphotels.org was released this week, that put Dubai in third place globally, for the price of hotels on NYE.
The study compared 50 cities for a night’s stay on December 31, and found Dubai in the top three for hotel stays at AED999 per night, and according to the survey: “Only hotels with a city centre location, with three stars or more, and with average positive guest reviews were included in the survey.”
The top 10 most expensive destinations in the world are:
- Miami Beach, US: AED1,032 (US$281)
- Sydney, Australia: AED1,006 (US$274)
- Dubai, UAE: AED999 (US$272)
- New Orleans, US: AED987 (US$269)
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: AED830 (US$226)
- New York City, US: AED822 (US$224)
- Hong Kong: AED811 (US$221)
- Nashville, US: AED793 (US$216)
- Edinburgh, Scotland: AED749 (US$204)
- Amsterdam, The Netherlands: AED727 (US$198)
