UAE Couple Jailed For Sex Out Of Wedlock
An Asian man and Arab woman have been sentenced to three months jail at an Ajman court after engaging in sex out of wedlock.
The woman alerted authorities after the male reportedly stole her phone. He claims he paid the woman AED200 for a massage and she refused to give him one, according to reports.
The male claimed the woman arranged the massage at her home, but then propositioned him for sex. He was shocked at the prospect. After sleeping together, the man asked for the massage for which he had paid, but the woman refused. He stole her phone and left the building.
The woman called the phone several times following the incident, the man refused to return the phone unless the woman returned his money.
The 23-year-old male and 49-year-old female will be deported following the sentence.
Sex out of wedlock is illegal in the UAE.
