It’s actually funny that being a part of a city that boasts of remarkably iconic structures like the Burj Khalia, the Dubai Creek Tower, Ain Dubai etc., we still, pretty much, manage to get bedazzled by any new upcoming sites, projects and buildings.

So, when our managing editor, while on his morning cycling route, stumbled on this unusual but interesting building being built smack in the middle of the desert, we were left intrigued!

This is what the construction of the building looks like RN

Upon some research, we figured out that this cool building, which let’s face it, looks like a house of cards from afar is actually The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park Innovation Centre—a five-storey building that is 90 metres high and covers an area of 4,000 square metres.

It will act as a museum, exhibition and convention centre for solar and renewable energy and will draw researchers, tourist, students and business professionals from across the UAE.
