adidas Set Up A Swimmingly-Cool Pool Billboard At Kite Beach

This weekend I saw Raha Moharrak, the first Saudi lady to climb Everest, plunge headfirst into a pool-shaped billboard (or a billboard-shaped pool?!) at Kite Beach.

The extraordinary setup was an activation by adidas to promote its new modest swimwear collection. It invited ladies to come and try the setup for free, to dive into the azure blue, and create some epic content in an all-ladies, all-inclusive, empowerment powered event.

Kite Beach is as always a hive of activity, lined with restaurants and activities and bustling with beachgoers, but it was impossible to miss this setup, which provided a little respite from the summer heat for those lucky enough to snag a dip!

The swimming billboard is three-metres deep, can fit around 3,319 adidas shoe boxes and is made of reinforced transparent acrylic

Seriously though… How cool is this?!

The idea that water accepts everyone unconditionally is the basis for the campaign

And it was a chance for some ladies to debut the new Burkini Collection released by adidas, its first modest swimwear range designed to be inclusive for all body types, shapes and sizes.
