Construction Noise In Dubai Marina Has Got So Bad It’s Keeping Residents Up At Night
There’s always some building ‘under construction’ in Dubai- agree? With cranes, diggers, towers being used for the developments, turns out that some residents have gotten fed up with the noise.
Dubai Marina has many new developments, and is typically quite noisy with construction work, but it appears the work is happening throughout the night, and disrupting residents.
A Dubai Marina resident shared a voice recording of the noise happening at midnight
The resident also said that he works for the national airline and was trying to rest up before his next flight. However, he was unable to sleep because of the noise.
“Why should we as marina residences be subjected to the drift exhibition making very very loud firing noises when we are trying to rest and be peaceful? I work for the national airline and am trying to rest before a night flight and I cannot sleep because of the noise. It is simply unacceptable”- Alex said in his message to Lovin Dubai.
Regulations vary according to each emirate
Dubai Municipality noise should not exceed 55 decibels from 7am-8pm, and 45 decibels from 8pm-7am. A construction site is traditionally around 100 decibels.
