Kris Fade Comes Out In Defence Of Netflix’s ‘Dubai Bling’ With Very Valid Points
After all the online shade received by Dubai Bling, Kris Fade has come out in defense of the Netflix show
The radio host took to Linkedin to write why the show didn’t deserve all the negativity, especially from people within the region:
#DubaiBling The most watched show to have ever been produced, created and developed in the Middle East….ever!
He believes that Dubai Bling will revolutionize the region’s film and television industry adhering to the fact that the show is currently in the top 10 charts globally – a feat accomplished for the first time.
We have people in Missouri, USA watching and loving a show that is in Arabic!!!!!!
Kris says that it doesn’t matter if people like or dislike the show because it is hugely responsible for helping the region by creating more opportunities for local talent and having their work showcase and resonate globally.
Us Arabs, are talented, we’re creative, we’re leaders. We don’t always have to purchase the programs from the Western world, we can also create and sell our own!
Despite the backlash, Kris personally received thousands of positive messages full of love, support and congratulations
I’ve been stopped in the street to say how good it is, I’ve had more than 50 000 new followers on Instagram alone in 5 days, global media outlets reaching out for an interview.
To the people who accused the show of being “scripted” “cheesy” or “fake”, Kris asks them to look at the bigger picture
Personally, I kept it as real as we could on the show, but at the same time, I thank each and every cast member that added their own flare to make this show #1.
I’m proud of the production team, that were mainly from this region! You created, what many tried but failed. There is only more to come, for ALL!
