The Dubai Metro Just Celebrated 14 Years Of Impeccable Service!
The Dubai Metro was inaugurated by the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
The metro first operated on 9 September 2009. In the 14 years since its inception, the Dubai metro has travelled 1.5 million kilometres!
In only a few years, the Dubai metro progressed with leaps and bounds i.e, extended rails lines, new routes, stations, as well as additional trains.

On average, around 1 million manhours are devoted to maintenance to ensure smooth and optimal performance
Plus, a dedicated team of 70 employees conduct maintenance work on the metro around the clock.
In total, the Dubai Metro’s fleet consists of 129 trains, comprising 50 modern units, and the initial batch of 79 trains, which have recently undergone maintenance.
