Dubai Pakistanis Are Flying Back To Do Their Part For The National Elections
Today is election day in Pakistan and the vibe throughout the country seems unreal.
Pakistan’s democracy has a multi-party system with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan Peoples Party at top positions.
With a total of over 1.2m Pakistani expats living in the UAE, the outcome of these elections will affect these expats the same way it will to those living in Pakistan.
Pakistani expats residing in Dubai didn’t let the distance stop them from carrying out their right and flew all the way back to their home country to vote. Those who couldn’t make it, have definitely shown no less excitement.
These tweets are super adorable.
“History is made”
I am enjoying the level of intensity at home as my family decides who to vote tomorrow.
Whatever happens, as long as the people realize they have a choice, & make use of it, history is made. I really hope you vote for the one who puts this country first.#PakistanElections2018

There’s tight security all over the country
Just got back after casting my vote. I must say extremely organised, army personnels inside polling stations are very helpful and keeping everything in order. So so happy. #PakistanElections2018
