His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces paid a very special visit to some carpet sellers in an Abu Dhabi souk on Thursday.
He met with many of the expats working in the souk but it was one man in particular he wanted to meet.
In the video an unknown man approaches the Afghani man to buy a picture of UAE Founding Father Sheikh Zayed.
He firmly refuses to sell the portrait, which has been hanging in his shop for 25 years, even when the man offers him over AED100,000.
He responded to the offer that “This is my baba Zayed”.
The video went viral and the man has now caught the attention of HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Visiting the souk he met with many workers and tweeted pictures of the visit explaining his appreciation of their hard work, and told them that they are welcomed to the UAE as their second home.
When he met with the Afghani man in question he honoured him by placing a ‘Year of Zayed’ badge on his chest.
قصة وفاء سطرها زايد بإنسانيته pic.twitter.com/e1P5H49cHw
